18 routes available for MS Walk the weekend of April 6
The annual MS Walk presented by the Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will be the weekend of Sunday, April 6 at 18 sites in northern and central Illinois including Chicagos lakefront. Proceeds of the pledge-based event will benefit multiple sclerosis research and program services offered by the chapter to 11,000 people with MS in 73 Illinois counties. Prizes are awarded to participants according to the level of funds raised. Walks begin at 9 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., varying by location. Route lengths range from 1.5 to 6 miles.
Route locations are: Chicago Lakefront, Fox Valley, McHenry County, Naperville, North Shore, Northwest Suburban, South Suburban, Joliet/Lockport, Kankakee, Decatur, Quincy, Springfield, Champaign/Urbana, Bloomington/Normal, Lincoln, Illinois Valley (Oglesby), Peoria and Quad Cities.
