Executive director of the Illinois Family Institute featured speaker
The Patriotic Breakfast is seen as the Rock River Valleys kick-off to the Fourth of July patriotic weekend celebrations.
Highlights of the event include prayers from community leaders, recognition of elected officials, the Pledge to the Flag by Little Mr. and Miss Fourth of July, and the awarding of WQFL/WGSLs annual Citizenship Award to a deserving member of the community.
This years featured speaker will be Peter LaBarbera, executive director of the Illinois Family Institute. He will speak on the topic American Family Values and the Current Marriage Debate. The breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a free continental breakfast for the first 1,000 people who attend. The program will begin at 9 a.m. at the Sinnissippi Park Music Shell.
Music will be provided by the New Royal Travelers, as well as the winner of the 2003 WQFL Voice Wars, Claire Schwartz.
