One of the summer’s biggest tours rolled into Chicago’s United Center May 9 as U2, with opening act Kings of Leon, took the stage at a sold-out show on the first leg of their Vertigo Tour. U2 (pictured in photo, lead singer Bono, at right, and lead guitarist “The Edge” aka David Howell Evans) opened their set with “City of Blinding Lights,” off their latest album, How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. U2 also performed, among other songs, “Pride (In the Name of Love),” “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “One” and “Mysterious Ways.” Another show is set for May 12. Info: www.u2.com.
