4 Sale at RAW Art Studio Gallery

4 Sale at RAW Art Studio Gallery

By Molly Fleming, Staff Writer

This weekend will include another demonstration in local culture (which some say doesn’t exist in Rockford) at RAW Art Studio Gallery. 4 Sale, an exhibit of four local artists displaying their recent works, will create an environment of multi-medic creation.

The show features Raku pottery works by Bob Sunday, paper works by Carol Meniga, paintings by Don Lunquist, and sculptures and welded art by gallery owner Russ Blahnik. Also included will be the works of Dunston Mann. The show runs on Friday and Saturday, March 14 and 15, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. both nights. There is no entrance fee. There will be tarot readings by Annie during the course of the evenings to add to the ambiance.

RAW Art is a highly under-visited gallery wherein Blahnik allows both well-known and undiscovered artists to display their works without the pretensions and pressures of a metropolitan art scene. RAW Art is at 2500 N. Main St. (in the old Atwood Building, upstairs), and parking is available behind Cal-Cars. Information: 966-0476.
