AARP Driver Safety Program set for Aug. 23-24

The AARP Driver Safety Program for individuals 55 or older, presented by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), will be offered Aug. 23-24 at Rockford Memorial Hospital, 2400 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford.

These classes will meet in Classroom 1 and 2 in the hospital’s Ingersoll Building.

The Driver Safety Program course is a total of eight hours offered in two four-hour sessions. Classes will run 12:30-4:30 p.m. Participants must attend both days to receive credit from their automobile insurance company. You do not have to be a member of AARP to participate in these driver training classes.

There are no tests, and there is a limit of 25 people.

Participants must bring their driver’s license and a personal check for $10 per person made payable to AARP Driver Safety Program to the first class.
