The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) Driver Safety Program will be offered Tuesday, Oct. 12 and Thursday, Oct. 14 at Wesley Willows, 4141 N. Rockton Ave.
The course is a total of eight hours offered in two four-hour sessions. Classes will start at 12:30 p.m. and finish by 4:30 p.m. Participants must attend both days to receive credit from their automobile insurance company.
In Illinois, if an individual is 55, has a good driving record and takes a course approved by the Illinois Secretary of State, all automobile insurance companies must provide a discount on automobile insurance premiums.
There are no tests. The Oct. 12 and 14 course has a limit of 25 participants, and a minimum of 12. You do not have to be a member of AARP to participate.
To register, call or visit the Wesley Willows Customer Service Desk, 654-2530.
A check for $10, payable to AARP Driver Safety Program, should be brought to the first class.
