Absentee ballots are available for City of Rockford voters at the Board of Election Commissioners, 301 S. 6th St. Voters who will be absent from the county on Election Day may come to the office and vote in person.
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
Request for a mailed absentee ballot may be made by calling the office at (815) 987-5750. A signed application must be in the office before a ballot can be mailed. It is necessary to request your absentee ballot as soon as possible. Thursday, April 12, is the last day absentee ballots can be mailed to voters.
