A new small employer health insurance plan has been developed locally and is now available to eligible small employers, including businesses and non-profit organizations.
If your organization can answer yes to all of the following questions, your organization may be eligible for this new health insurance option, Health Access Plan:
1. Do you own or work for a Winnebago County-based employer with between three and 25 employees?
2. Has your group been without employer-sponsored health insurance for the last 12 months? Or are you a new organization without coverage?
3. Does your work group have a median hourly wage of $12 or less? (At least half of employees earn $12 per hour or less.)
Health Access Plan is a Third Share Model, meaning that monthly premiums of $150 per adult insured are shared on a one-third basis, with employees and employers each paying $50 per month. This is matched by a premium subsidy of $50 per month paid by Health Access Plan supported by a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

You are under no obligation to purchase this plan. For a limited time, Health Access Plan will offer to pay 100 percent of the premiums for eligible workers as an incentive for enrollment!
