An evening with Habitat for Humanity

Dinner, dancing and an opportunity to make a difference. That is what you’ll get by joining Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity on Friday, March 18, at the Forest Hills Country Club at 6 p.m. for the fourth annual gala. Begin your evening at the reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Then dance the night away to the music of Rick Burns.

Clodius & Company Jewelers has once again donated a custom-made piece to be raffled off during the night. Raffle tickets are only $5 each, and the winner walks away with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind opal slide. Silent and live auctions will also be held for such items as a week in an Orlando condo, gift baskets from local spas, and autographed Chicago Bears items.

All proceeds benefit Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity, an organization dedicated to providing safe, decent, affordable housing for Rockford-area families living in substandard housing. Habitat homeowners purchase their houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgages while contributing hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” labor working on their house and the houses of others.
