An evening with Travis Tritt

Country music returns to Rockford with the all-time favorite Travis Tritt! He’ll be coming to the Coronado Theatre and will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21.

Tritt kicked off 2002 with an appearance on CMT’s In Concert on Jan. 4. His latest project, the critically acclaimed Down the Road I Go, has become a great commercial success. He was nominated for an American Music Award in the “Favorite Male Country Artist” category this year and also earned Billboard’s Music Award nominations in the “Country Artist of the Year”, “Male Country Artist of the Year” and “Single of the Year” categories. His latest hits include “Best of Intentions,” “Love of a Woman” and the #2-ranked in “Radio’s Most Played Song of 2001” category by Billboard’s Airplay Monitor magazine: “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive.”

Tritt’s new video, Modern Day Bonnie & Clyde, features Academy Award-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton in the starring role. Tritt performed “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “Silver Bells” (with the Marine Band) for the 76th Annual Christmas Pageant of Peace on Dec. 6 at the White House. He also hosted the Best of Opry special with a recap of this year’s Grand Ole Opry performances. But you can catch his show in Rockford!

The price of admission is $37.50. Tickets are on sale at the Coronado Theatre box office, MetroCentre box office and all Centre Events outlets including online at or charge by phone at 968-5222.
