Annual Dairy Breakfast June 23

BELVIDERE—The 10th Annual Boone County Farm Bureau Dairy Breakfast will be Saturday, June 23, at Aves Dairy Farm, 6079 Manchester Road, Poplar Grove, Ill. Breakfast will be served from 6:30 to 11 a.m.

Activities include a craft show featuring some of the area’s most-talented crafters and vendors; wagon rides provided by local team drivers; children’s games organized by the Flora Producers 4-H Club; a petting zoo organized by the North Boone FFA Chapter; an antique tractor and implement display provided by the Illinois Antique Tractor & Engine Club; Model T display provided by the Model T Club; Cow Pie Bingo; the Udder 4-H’s Milk-a-Cow; and more. Door prizes donated by local businesses will also be given.

All proceeds of the Breakfast and the Cow Pie Bingo will go to the Boone County Farm Bureau Foundation. The Foundation was established for the purpose of providing scholarships and increasing agriculture awareness through educational means.

The menu consists of all-you-can-eat pancakes, whole hog sausage, yogurt, applesauce, ice cream, milk and coffee. Prices are $5 for adults, $3 children ages 6-10; children younger than 5 admitted free. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Boone County Farm Bureau Office or at the door for the same price.
