Any registered voter may vote early

Illinois election law has changed. Any duly registered voter may vote early.

Early voting takes place from Feb. 27 through March 16, in office only.

Early voting may be done in the Office of the Board of Election Commissioners at 301 S. Sixth St. in Rockford, for City of Rockford registered voters.

The early voter must bring a government photo identification to show when voting. (Driver’s license, state ID or other government-issued identification document containing applicant’s photograph is acceptable.)
