Area singers compete for 'Inspiration Sensation'

Total Living Network has now completed its audition process for Season 2 of the live singing competition “Inspiration Sensation.”

Stephanie Goldsmith, 22, and Farren Rounds, 19, both of Rockford, now hold a place in the Top 24. Goldsmith auditioned at Grace Lutheran Church in Loves Park Feb. 19, while Rounds tried out at House of Grace Church in downtown Rockford Feb. 25.

Saturday, March 5, Goldsmith and Rounds competed against 22 other contestants who have been selected from other churches around Chicagoland and Rockford. The 24 contestants will be narrowed down to 12 during the first night.

Beginning Saturday, March 19, contestants will perform and one person will be eliminated each night for the remaining 12 weeks.

While the contestants will receive feedback from a panel of expert judges, ultimately it is the viewers who decide the fate of the contestants. Each night, the audience will be asked to call in and vote for their favorite contestant. The contestants with the highest vote tally will move forward to compete in the following week’s show. Each program will see the elimination of one contestant until one contestant is crowned “Inspiration Sensation 2005.”

Dan Willis, renowned gospel singer and pastor of The Lighthouse Church in Alsip, Ill., will host the program.

Live broadcasts will originate at Total Living Network’s corporate studios, 2880 Vision Ct., Aurora, IL 60506, every Saturday through May 21 and will air from 8 to 9 p.m., on TLN’s owned and operated stations including Rockford on broadcast channel 51 and Insight cable channel 15.
