We have a winner! Attorney Gary Flanders is the latest recipient of The Rock River Times free ads for a year contest. Upon purchasing a business card size ad, Flanders was automatically entered among 72 participating advertisers, and as of Jan. 12, is entitled to 52 weeks running of the same size ad, free of charge.
This is the second year TRRT has run this contest. Last years honorees, the Rockford Institute, who won a 1/6-page ad, and Papa Chips, with a business card size ad, became victors in a dual drawing, held in honor of the papers 500th issue.
Flanders, with a B.A. in political science and history from Rockford College, postgraduate studies in political philosophy and public law at NIU, and a law degree from Pepperdine University, has been in practice since 1981. He has been at his present location, One Court Place, for 21 years. He has limited his practice to bankruptcy matters in order to fully concentrate on his clients needs.
Flanders offers free consultations, and arranges Chapter 7 bankruptcies as well as Chapter 13 debt consolidations, which he files without advance payment of fees. Flanders chose this field of law because its interesting and clients are appreciative that what can be accomplished is usually foreseeable.
He has been married to Janet Flanders for 18 years, and is a father to two daughters, Emily, aged 16, and Elizabeth, aged 15, both students at Rockford Lutheran High School.
