Auditions for Broadway Bound at Mendelssohn

Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center announces that auditions will be held for Broadway Bound Aug. 15-19 from 10 a.m. to noon, by appointment.

Broadway Bound is a performing ensemble of the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center offering students ages 11-17 the chance to showcase their talents by performing a variety of musical selections encompassing show tunes to pop with choreography and costumes. Broadway Bound is directed by Jack Armstrong, a performing artist of the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center.

The students accepted into Broadway Bound are featured in large and small ensembles along with the opportunity for solos. Broadway Bound performs around the community and presents a show at the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center in the spring.

For the audition, students need to prepare a Broadway piece of their choice. Students are selected for the ensemble based on their vocal quality and stage presence. To make an audition appointment, call the Mendelssohn PAC at 964-9713.
