Avery Center to hold two-day exposition
The Avery Center, Inc. will present its Second Annual Two-Day Holistic, Healing & Harmony Exposition from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 2 and 3 at the Midway Village & Museum Center, 6799 Guilford Road.
A series of seminar/workshops and experiential exhibit booths will enable you to experience techniques for integrating the mind, body and spirit. Techniques to be demonstrated will include: Medical Qigong; sound therapy; ear candling; reflexology; craniosacral; hot stones massage; Reiki; acupressure; prayer; hypnotherapy; massage; and essential oils. Readers will be available for medical intuitive, intuitive readings, aura photos, Feng Shui, numerology and pet intuitive.
On Saturday, March 2, the keynote speaker will be Fran Starr, R.N., Ph.D., C. Ht., who will speak on The Power to Heal NOW. This internationally renowned medical intuitive and author will reveal the bodys power to heal itself through focused Medical Qigongsomething the Chinese have been practicing for centuriesand specifically selected herbs for building and maintaining the immune system.
From 2 to 3:30 p.m., Dr. Kimberly Castaneda, N.D., will conduct a self-discovery workshop on Cultivating Your Truth, getting to the core of your truth, eliminating self-defeating belief systems to reclaim your greatest joyyou!
On Sunday, March 3, a Psychometry Experiential Workshop will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Learn how to read objects and the messages they carry. Cynthia Blum will be the presenter.
From noon to 1:30, Barb Rocha will speak on Lightworkers and Starseeds. As our planet nears the completion of an evolutionary cycle and our human consciousness awakens and expands into cosmic consciousness, we gradually remember who we are and the purpose we came here to fulfill. Learn what part lightworkers and starseeds will play in our daily lives.
From 3 to 4:30 p.m., Diane Walters-Butler will teach an intermediate experiential class to Improve Your Intuitive Capabilities. Classes in Reiki will be offered by Reiki Master Teacher Pam Spera. Class limit is eight persons at a cost of $150. Participants must pre-register by phone.
Two free workshops will be given. On Saturday, learn an Introduction to Yoga with Audrey Doll from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, from 2 to 3 p.m., Fran Starr will conduct a workshop on Guided Imagery & Meditation.
Items will also be available for sale such as aromatherapy products, jewelry, magnets, books, herbs, essential oils, crystals, and more.
General admission to the exposition is $3. Workshops and seminars are $25 each, unless otherwise indicated. There will be hourly free prize drawings. A portion of the fee will be donated to cancer research studies that involve a Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) research.
