AWARE offers ‘Brain Aerobics’ program

• Alzheimer’s Association auxiliary plans Nov. 19 event at Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club

A fun, interactive learning experience to jump start the brain and give it a good workout will be offered by AWARE, the auxiliary of the Alzheimer’s Association. Brain Aerobics is an entertaining, educational program looking at healthy aging and what we can do to maintain cognitive function.

The event will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club, 5151 Guilford Rd. Cost is $15 and includes lunch and handouts.

Bonnie Beam, M.S. in psychology, M.A. in gerontology, will present information to help participants understand what healthy aging means and provide them with the tools to “exercise” their brain for maximum performance.
