Bacchus to become regional ‘destination site’

Focus will be on bar business, unique wine selection

Saturday, Oct. 30 is the last day of full dining operations at the River District establishment

Bacchus Wine Bar has announced plans that it is revising its business focus to leverage its unique market strengths—a full bar offering the region’s largest and most exclusive wine selection and one of the region’s most unique establishments to host private parties and events, in both the dining room area and the popular Bacchus Cellar.

Bacchus Wine Bar will also continue to serve its “Bar Bites” appetizers and light dining menu, as well as continue customer-oriented features including the highly popular Pub Quiz and the bi-weekly Wine Club. Saturday, Oct. 30 is the last day Bacchus Wine Bar plans to offer full dining on a daily basis.

“We know that this move will only serve to further separate Bacchus Wine Bar from its competitors, thereby allowing the establishment to continue to develop our niche-market placement within the community and expand our services as a River District business,” said Chandler Anderson, Bacchus owner.

In addition to building their private party business, Bacchus Wine Club is also currently developing a variety of new and fun special events and features, details of which will follow in the coming months.

Bacchus Wine Bar first opened to the public in 1996. Located at 515 E. State St., it is among the leading businesses to open in the developing River District area. Bacchus Wine Bar can be found on the Web at
