On Friday, June 3 from 5-11 p.m. the Barbara Olson Center of Hope will host its biggest fund-raiser ever at the Rockford Speedway. Local Bands including Harlan Jefferson, The Hitmen, Fusion, and headlining group, Clutch Cargo, have come together to donate their time and talents to raise money for programs that support people with developmental disabilities. This event is being featured on B103, WROK, WNTA, and on 23-WIFR’s morning show with Andy Gannon and Aaron Wilson on the morning of June 3 when Andy and Aaron will broadcast live from a HOT AIR BALLOON! Join Barbara Olson with Andy and Aaron or at Rock for the Center in the evening to get a great shot of the balloon and join in on the fun! You might even get a ride up in the balloon!

OSF Health Plans has graciously donated tethered hot air balloon rides to this event. This will be the first time the balloon is seen in the Rockford area, and beginning an hour before sunset, the rides will begin giving a bird’s-eye view of the whole event! There will also be a chance to win a sunrise free-flight ride for up to six people during a raffle at Rock for the Center to be taken the following morning. The winner must be present at the event.

Rock for the Center will also feature a huge variety of great food and a huge raffle that includes such items as two tickets on Hooters Airlines, a season golf pass from the Rockford Park District, a season Magic Waters pass, gift baskets from local vendors, and in honor of our new location at the Rockford Speedway…a car hood signed by Rusty Wallace!

Tickets for Rock for the Center are available now at the Center of Hope or at any Alpine Bank location for $5. Tickets at the gate will be $7. Children 12 and younger will be admitted Free. For more information, call 964-9275.
