One of Rockford’s longest-standing and resilient rock bands, Bare Bones, will celebrate its 15th anniversary Saturday, Feb. 5 at The Barn, 1428 N. Main St. They do it every year to celebrate the fact that they’re still together, still playing, and the community should recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to be a musician with ongoing gigs in the Rockford area.

The Barn, was the location of the first Bare Bones gig 15 years ago, so it’s only appropriate that lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Pat Fenelon, guitarist Rick Pemberton, drummer Wally Houck and newest member bassist Ryan Bielefeldt should return there to celebrate their anniversary.

This event doesn’t just feature Bare Bones celebrating themselves, but rather a slew of musical guests performing to wish them all a happy birthday. Guests in the past have been members of Cheap Trick, Men of Our Times, Robin’ Banks and many others. For more information about Bare Bones, check out their Web site, The 15th Anniversary show is Saturday, Feb. 5, starting at 9 p.m. with a $3 cover.
