Friends and family of Cindy Carlson are planning a spaghetti dinner to raise funds to help Carlson in her fight against a rare form of cancer. The event, scheduled for 1-5 p.m., Saturday, April 10 at the Verdi Club, will include spaghetti meal, raffle, door prizes and entertainment.
For many, the Easter season is a time of hope. Carlsons friends and family are looking to the local community to help bring hope into Carlsons life during her time of need. Carlson has been diagnosed with stage IV appendiceal mucinous adenocarcinoma, of which there are less than 1,000 known cases. Successful treatment of this form of cancer can only be given at Washington Hospital in Washington, D.C. Friends and family are hopeful that with the support of the Rockford community Carlson will be able to receive the necessary treatment to win her fight against cancer.
Cost is $8 per person. Information or to make a donation, contact Kathy Toledo at 395-6481.
