Benefit for Tabby & Brandi Miller (in memory of McKenna)
A South Beloit couple is in urgent need of your help.
Brandi Miller and his wife Tabby, both in their 30s, tried for years to conceive a child. At last, they received the good news that Tabby was pregnant. But when the baby, McKenna, was born Jan. 2, their joy turned to heartbreak. Tabby had been weakened by toxemia to the point that her liver was about to explode, and her kidneys were shutting down. Beloit Memorial Hospital medical staff e-vacd her to Rockford Memorial Hospital for an emergency C-section to save Tabbys life.
McKenna was born with a 13th chromosome, hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and numerous other defects. She lived only five days, leaving her parents and their families devastated. Although both parents are employed by Bryden Motors in South Beloit, their insurance doesnt even begin to cover their expenses. Now faced with not only the loss of their very special daughter, but the enormous, mounting medical and funeral bills, they need help.
Friends of the Millers held a benefit Feb. 2 to raise money for the family. Donations may be sent to Brandi and Tabby Miller c/o Dana Federal Credit Union, 542 Clark St., South Beloit, IL 61080.
