Bob Dylan live at NIU Convocation Center

Grammy and Academy Award-winning folk and rock music icon will play in DeKalb on Halloween night

DEKALB—As a special Halloween treat, Bob Dylan will be performing at 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, at the NIU Convocation Center on the campus of Northern Illinois University, DeKalb.

Performing on tour with his band, Bob Dylan is in the midst of one of his most creative and prolific periods over the past half-dozen years. Multiple Grammy awards, an Academy Award, and more than 500 concert performances have all found him in prime form.

Dylan’s recent summer tour of minor league baseball parks with another legend, Willie Nelson, drew rave reviews. The Boston Herald wrote that “the sheer volume of hits, classics and masterpieces of the American songbook on display was simply astounding.” The New Haven Register observed that “this is one of the great parts of being a legend; you change up set lists at will, and still pack them with hits.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24. Reserved and general admission tickets are $39.50 and $29.50 (plus applicable fees) and will be available at the Convocation Center box office and all Ticketmaster outlets. Charge by phone at (312) 559-1212, or at www.ticketmaster.com.
