The North Suburban Library Book Discussion Group will meet in the Anderson Local History Room of the library, 6340 N. Second St., from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, to discuss Arctic Dreams: Imagination and Desire in a Northern Landscape by Barry Lopez.
Based on the authors 15 trips to the regions, Arctic Dreams celebrates the awesome beauty of the far North. Lopez, a gifted storyteller who has traveled widely in the Arctic, has created a monumental, magical book about landscape at its most elemental and a book about man and his dreams.
