Love, friendship, heartache, compassion, tragedy and faith are only a few of the many things to be found in The Believer’s Edge, a book written by Owen Phelps, Ph. D.

The book begins with a man named Derek, who is uneasy with his current life situation, and takes him on a journey to find the path that works best for him.

Derek’s journey involves listening, understanding and faith. His journey begins with turning a past acquaintance into a friend.

This friend and a network of others offer their personal experiences and stories to Derek with hardly any knowledge of who he is or without questioning why they are asked to share.

Each story told carries plenty of struggles and unique tests of personal faith. Although each story is its own, all characters share a common support system that has helped them overcome their struggles.

As Derek listens to each story, he becomes more and more intrigued by this support system and how it works, even though he remains skeptical.

The story of Derek and his journey gets more and more intriguing as he gets one step closer to deciding if any of this information has helped his situation.

The Believer’s Edge challenges the reader to think about his or her own personal religious views, and how he or she includes those views in everyday life.

The story is heartwarming and gives a sense of security with the knowledge there are others out there with true compassion and caring for others.
