If you have a singing talent and are at least 55 years old as of Jan. 1, 2007, join Lifescape Community Services for Senior Idol auditions Friday, July 20, at Wesley Willows, 4141 N. Rockton Ave. A semi-finals round will be held on Aug. 17, and the finals will happen during Lifescape’s Senior Expo, “Over the Hill and Kickin’ Up Our Heels,” on Sept. 20-21 at the Indoor Sports Center.

Individuals and groups of up to four people are encouraged to participate. Auditions will be a cappella, but singers must provide their own music or accompaniment for the semi-finals and finals. Music, from any era, will be judged by a local celebrity panel. The top three finishers will be invited to participate in a concert tour of Lifescape’s dining sites throughout Boone, Ogle and Winnebago counties, and the grand prize will be a featured performance in Lifescape’s 2008 Senior Follies.

Lifescape’s Senior Idol is sponsored by Wesley Willows. For more information or to obtain a registration application, contact the Lifescape office at (815) 963-1609.
