Brooke Road hosts egg hunt
Brooke Road United Methodist Church will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 19, at the church campus, 1404 Brooke Rd., Rockford. Children ages 1 year to 10 years old are welcome. The egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. in the churchs sanctuary and will continue with age-specific hunting areas. Activities will include the egg hunt, music, games, crafts, treats and a visit from the Easter Bunny. All are invited, and there is no cost. Brooke Road Church is in southeast Rockford just west of the intersection of 11th Street and Brooke Road.
Two services scheduled for Easter
Brooke Road Church will celebrate Easter Sunday with two special worship services Sunday, April 20. The 8:30 a.m. service will feature special music by the Descant Sisters, the sacrament of Holy Communion and the traditional Easter story. The 10:30 a.m. service will be a special celebration of Easter with music by the Sanctuary Choir, the festival of Easter flowers, and the reading of the resurrection story.
