Burpee celebrates 100 years of T. rex

Join JANE, the local celebrity dinosaur, in celebrating 100 years of T. rex at the Burpee Museum of Natural History at noon, Sunday, Dec. 11.

Those attending can participate in dinosaur activities, face painting and storytelling; and visit with live animals, honor their local librarians, see the “Discovery in Paleontology” show and visit JANE the dinosaur. Children are invited to write their own JANE story and take it to their local librarian by Jan. 2, 2006, for a prize.

Child artists, designers and writers are invited to show their creativity and love for paleontology by entering “Discovery in Paleontology,” the highlight of the JANE Fair. This contest is open to kids grades pre-K through 8th. Entries must be at the Museum by 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9. All participants will receive a certificate and a free pass to the JANE Fair.
