Enchanting Linmar Gardens is nestled in a hillside overlooking the town of Galena. The secluded and privately owned garden is on three and one-half acres. Vibrant annual and perennial flowers are scattered about the inviting grounds. Step back in time Wednesday, Sept. 8 as you lunch at the DeSoto House, a Galena landmark since 1855 and stroll the downtown shops. Next stop is Timber Ridge Gardens in Elizabeth, IL with more than 2,000 varieties of ornamental and native perennials, trees and shrubs with the many demonstration gardens which incorporate unique hardy plants.
Bus leaves from Klehm at 8 am. and returns approximately at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $50 for members and $60 for their guests. Price includes, lunch, snacks, admission to Linmar Gardens. Registration deadline is Aug. 24.
