Byron Civic Theatre offers Mother’s Day fun

Looking for something new and exciting for your mother this year? Try something different! Take your favorite Mom to Byron Civic Theatre’s hit production of Jesus Christ Superstar. This show is selling fast, but great seats are still available for the Mother’s Day matinee on May 11 at 2 p.m.

Fantastic seats are available for both Thursday performances, May 8 and 15. Other performances are scheduled for Friday, May 9, Friday, May 16, Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. Led by Roger DeSchepper as Jesus, Ben Johnson as Judas and Angie Bazzell as Mary Magdalene, this cast of 40-plus will amaze you with their raw energy, talented voices and phenomenal dance moves.

This rock opera offers memorable songs such as “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” “Can We Start Again, Please,” “Heaven on Their Minds” and, of course, “Superstar.”
