Byron Civic Theatre volunteers are building, painting, sewing, and collecting sets, costumes, and props to ready the stage for the August production of Annie. More than 100 cast members and crew are preparing for expected sell-out crowds for one of BCTs most popular shows.
BCTs tenth season features shows that have been produced over the past nine years. Actors and actresses who originally played the roles are being asked to reprise those roles this season. Dan Danielowski will be back as Warbucks, Tyler Shelton as Rooster, and Julie Danielowski as Lily. Also back in the show, but not reprising original roles are Melissa Flowers (originally Annie), Kaitlain Ludwig and Carla Huber (who originally played orphans) as the Lovely Boylan Sisters.
To accommodate the large audience expected for the show, BCT is adding a Thursday performance during the second week. There will also be a special childrens party prior to the Thursday performance for all children in the audience.
If you would like to reprise any roles originally played in any of the remaining shows in the tenth season, contact BCT by Aug. 6.
The other shows in the tenth season are Christmas Kaleidoscope, The Odd Couple, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Tickets go on sale to members on July 22 and to the general public on July 26. The call-in box office is open on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 6 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. Contact BCT at 234-3000 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
