Financial support and silent auction items are pouring in from Byron businesses and organizations. Talking to businesses is such a delight, Suzanne Bunger, co-organizer, states. Everyone is so supportive in their help of these amazing young adults. The fund-raiser hopes to help the family obtain a wheel chair accessible van so Anna and Joel Gouker, with a rare form of muscular dystrophy, can attend Junior college using safe transportation.
The fund-raiser will take place April 8 at Byron Middle School. Dinner is from 6-8 p.m. followed by community entertainment 8-11 p.m. Tickets may be purchased for either dinner/entertainment or just the entertainment portion. Prices are: adults $25, senior/students $20, family $50, entertainment only $10. Tickets may be purchased from both Byron Bank locations, Byron Chamber of Commerce, all Byron schools, Byron Curves and Whitehead Realty.
Cash donations may be made directly at the Byron Bank. Byron Chamber of Commerce is collecting donated silent auction items. Questions or offers of help, contact Holly Johnson, 234-8998, or Suzanne Bunger, 234-7584
