Carl Cole (Mr. C) & Company present ‘Some Like it Cole’ March 17: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Nat King Cole’s birthday

Event, sponsored by Sounds of Good News Productions, kicks off at 7 p.m. at Rockford College’s Maddox Theatre.

Carl Cole (Mr. C) & Company will present “Some Like it Cole,” a “musical celebration of love and life,” honoring St. Patrick’s Day and Nat King Cole’s birthday, at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 17, at Maddox Theatre in Rockford College’s Clark Arts Center.

Featured artists include Rockford College Adjunct Professor Carl Cole; Rockford College Course Assistant Dianna Cole; the Rockford College Gospel Choir; Frank Robinson of Aurora, Ill.; Julian Swain; Joe Fallon; and the Dvorak Family & Musicians—Tim Austin on drums, Andrew Cole on bass, Ben Denen and Luke Guervara on guitar, David Thompson on trumpet, and Rock Valley College Professor Dr. Ken Stein on clarinet and tenor sax.

Advance tickets, available at the Rockford College Box Office, are $8 for adults or $5 for students and seniors. Cost is $10 at the door. Children 12 and younger are free.

The event is sponsored by “Sounds of Good News” (SOGN) Productions and all proceeds benefit Rockford College Campus Clubs’ recording projects.
