Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Mendelssohn
The Mendelssohn Club invites you to join them for a concert by Enrique Alberto Arias & Andrew Schultze (piano and voice) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Mendelssohn Club Auditorium, 415 N. Church St. The concert is free and open to the public.
Pianist Enrique Alberto Arias and vocalist Andrew Schultze will perform keyboard works and songs from the 17th through 20th century Spain and Latin America. This unique performance and discussion will highlight the richness and variety of the Hispanic cultural traditions. Arias is president, and Schultze is artistic director of Ars Musica Chicago, a group devoted to the performance of early music. A reception with mini-desserts will follow.
The program is made possible in part by an award from the Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Illinois General Assembly.
