Charlotte Hackin’s Color Visions

While ArtScene is taking over the River District this weekend, local artist Charlotte Hackin will premiere her latest works, Color Visions, at Mueller Studio, 875 S. Mulford Rd. The exhibit will also include works seen on Hackin’s television series, Sketch & Paint America.

The 13-part series takes the viewer all over America, using various sites such as The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, the French Quarter of New Orleans, Taos, N.M., and many other historical and beautiful places.

Hackin will also give a talk on her artwork at some point in the opening evening, so get there early to hear what she has to say. With the life experience she’s had, Hackin should be informative and entertaining. She’s been a full-time painter for 40-odd years, a commissioner for the Rockford Park District, and has exhibited her artwork all over America. She is currently working on a novel.

Support your local artists, visit ArtScene and then drop over to Mueller Studio to see this celebrated artist and her new works. The opening reception will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m., April 16 and 17. View Color Visions during the week from 2-4 p.m.
