Charlottes Web also offers family performer Dave Rudolf Nov. 11 at Rockford Public Library
Charlottes Web has offerings for both adults and kids this weekend.
Andreas Kapsalis comes to Krypto Music Lounge, 308 W. State St., at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10. With a style that is often described as Tribal Mediterranean, Kapsalis arranges intellectual compositions with elements of Greek folk melodies as well as odd time signatures, all with a light-hearted feel. Elements of Americana, Flamenco, African and Middle Eastern music can be heard in the mix, but no one genre ever becomes most prominent. This counts as one of those concerts you just must experience for yourself.
This show is co-sponsored by Krypto Music Lounge. Tickets are $5 in advance or at the door. Tickets are available at Rockford Area Arts Council, 713 E. State St., 963-6765; The Postal Shoppe, Edgebrook Center, 397-7301 and 2205 S. Perryville, 484-0940; The Kilt & Clover, 1314 N. Main St., 962-5458; or by mail with check and SASE, 10928 N. Main, Rockton, IL 61072. For Web information, call 964-2238.
At 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, take the kids to see Dave Rudolf at the Rockford Public Library, 215 N. Wyman St. This wacky performer will enchant and delight family members of all ages with his hilarious songs, outrageous gimmicks and audience participation, if you dare! Dave Rudolfs combination of songs and stories will keep young patrons both involved and thoroughly entertained. He may have discovered the true secret of entertaining children so deeply, they cant help but be engaged. And its free! The show is co-sponsored by the Rockford Public Library.
