Local heroes Cheap Trick have announced they will celebrate the debut of their latest album, Rockford, with a record release concert on their own turf.

Tuesday, June 6—the same date Rockford hits store shelves—the Coronado Theatre will host the hometown quartet for an event sure to sell out quickly.

The concert announcement was made via the band’s Internet message board last week. Many details for the show are still yet to be announced; however, members of Trick International, the Cheap Trick fan club, are being offered special ticket packages. The “platinum” and “gold” ticket packages include seating near the front of the stage as well as items such as exclusive T-shirts, fleece jackets and key chains.

Beginning Friday, April 28, non-fan club members will be offered the opportunity to purchase the “silver” ticket package, as well as any platinum or gold packages left unsold. The silver package includes a best available ticket as well as a sticker set.

Opening acts for the record release show were unavailable at press time.
