A safe driving course for seniors will again be offered at the Cherry Valley Library at 8:30 a.m., Sept. 16 and 17. This nationally accredited, two-day comprehensive course was developed and designed especially for the older driver. It takes into consideration the physical changes of the maturing driver and teaches ways the driver may compensate for those changes.
The course is presented in an informal atmosphere and runs eight hours, four hours each day. There are no tests to take. A certificate of completion is issued to each student. A copy of this certificate, when presented to your insurance carrier, will result in the liability premium on your insurance bill being lowered This reduction, as mandated by Illinois law, is good for three years.
There is a nominal charge for participation. To reserve your place, call the library at 332-5161.
