Clothes For Kids Drive runs through Aug. 6

CherryVale Mall is the host site for the Third Annual “Clothes For Kids” new clothing drive, July 21-Aug. 6. This is a partnership among CherryVale Mall, The Salvation Army of Winnebago County, Rockford Public Schools District No. 205 Homeless Student Advocate Office, Children’s Clothes Closet, Coca-Cola of Rockford, Papa John’s Pizza, B103-FM Today’s Lite Rock, and Insight Communications.

A “Clothes For Kids” display is set up through Aug. 6 at the CherryVale Mall. Each homeless child’s clothing needs will be listed on a “clothes hanger.” Shoppers and area businesses are encouraged to stop by the display, “adopt” a child and fulfill clothing needs. Monetary donations are also accepted.

Volunteers are needed to help man the “Clothes For Kids” display at CherryVale Mall. To volunteer for a shift, contact The Salvation Army of Winnebago County at 962-7207.
