Clothes for Kids kicks off July 16

CherryVale Mall hosts 16-day event to collect clothes for kids headed back to school

Going back to school should be an exciting time of year for children, but every year hundreds of less fortunate kids face ridicule by other students and are made to feel as if they don’t fit in because of their clothing. The 16-day “Clothes for Kids” campaign (July 16-31) will collect necessary shirts, pants, shoes, etc., for less fortunate children for their use during the upcoming school year.

The event will kick off at 10 a.m., Friday, July 16, at CherryVale Mall, 7200 Harrison Ave., Rockford. The Clothes for Kids campaign is a partnership between CherryVale Mall, Coca-Cola Enterprises Lakeshore Division, and the Salvation Army. CherryVale Mall is one of more than 60 regional malls owned and managed by CBL & Associates Properties Inc. in 27 states throughout the country participating in the Clothes for Kids campaign.
