Convenience down to the minute

In the Freeport Plaza Hotel lobby are three clocks that display Los Angeles, Chicago and New York time. For someone who travels or deals with people coast-to-coast—what a thoughtful gesture! Freeport Plaza has customer convenience down to the minute.

Freeport Plaza Hotel owner Paul Puri’s formula for success—accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative and provide what the customer wants.

“We [also] want people to know we can provide services for their special situations,” Puri said.

Puri allows groups who use the banquet facility and bring their own food to book the area’s largest pool for their private party. And there’s lots of convenient parking on their 6 acres (for semis, too).

Puri said: “The key [to success]? Encourage everyone to share their thoughts so you come to know their needs.”

Freeport Plaza Hotel caters to what customers want—such as special occasion Sunday champagne buffets in their enhanced Atrium Restaurant and banquet facilities, and 75-cent draft beers after 5 p.m.

The Plaza’s banquet facility seats 450, and is great for weddings, reunions, fund-raisers, civic groups, conventions and/or trade shows.

The Plaza has 90 guest rooms and a bar that can serve 40 to 50 people. So after the wedding, guests can just drive to the Plaza to relax and enjoy family and friends.

Before choosing Freeport, Puri compared the ups and downs of Freeport with larger communities such as Rockford. The Puris chose Freeport because, “It’s easy to get lost in a big town. [Freeport Plaza is easy to find on Bus. Hwy. 20 East.] I want to be identified with Freeport and get involved in this community.”

So for your special occasion, Puri hopes you choose Freeport. He invites your family to join his Plaza family and be their guest! Call 815/297-9700 to get acquainted.
