Danica 4th at Milwaukee, second in points

Roscoe’s Danica Patrick finished fourth after qualifying sixth for only her second oval Toyota Atlantic race Saturday night at The Milwaukee Mile, the only oval on the TA schedule—and her closest-to-home event.

She remained second in points with 69, only four behind the leader. Danica was sixth at Milwaukee last season. The Team Rahal driver now has five consecutive top-five finishes dating back to last season.

American driver Jon Fogarty started from the pole and led all 70 laps for his third career Atlantic victory. Denmark’s Ronnie Bremer finished second and took over the series points lead. Another rookie, Canadian Andrew Ranger, was third.

Ryan Dalziel, the points leader going in, was running second when he was involved in a crash with four laps remaining, causing the race to end under caution. Dalziel was not injured, but fell to fourth in points.

Next race is June 19-20 at Portland.
