Discovery Center Museum holds Tot Spot classes

Discovery Center Museum, located inside Riverfront Museum Park at 711 N. Main St., has announced the spring schedule for its popular Tot Spot classes.

Advance registration and payments are required for participation in all Tot Spot classes. Registration fees, per class, are: $10 per child, public, and $8 per child, museum members. All 2-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, no siblings, please. Admission to and exploration of Discovery Center itself are separate from the Tot Spot classes.

The spring 2004 schedule of Discovery Center Museum Tot Spot classes includes:

Amazing Magnets, Jan. 13-24; Have a Heart, Jan. 13-14; Feb. 3-11; Feb. 4 & 10; Think Green!—March 2-10; March 3 & 9; Big Blue Planet—March 23-31; March 23-24; Safe Kids—April 13-17; Little Firefighters—April 20-21; Springtime on the Farm—May 4-12; May 4 & 5; and Something Fishy—May 25-27; May 26 & 27.

Discovery Museum offers more than 250 hands-on exhibits for exploration of science and art. Admission is $4 adults, $3 children (ages 2-17), children younger than 2 and members are admitted free. Also included with Museum admission, now through Feb. 29, is the interactive traveling exhibition, “Body Carnival: The Science and Fun of Being You!” This exhibit explores how physical science principles are constantly at work in the human body.
