In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Discovery Center Museum will be open Monday, Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with special activities.
In addition to the more than 250 hands-on exhibits available, Discovery Center will also offer planetarium shows and live science demonstrations at various times throughout the day. The newly opened Art Nook on the second floor of the Museum will have craft activities for visitors to create and take home.
Discovery Center Museum is a nonprofit organization providing hands-on math, science and art experiences for all ages.
Discovery Center Museum is inside Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N. Main St., Rockford. General admission to the Museum is $5 adults, $4 children (ages 2 to 17) and free to children younger than 2 and Museum members. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m., Sunday.
