Donations requested for soldiers

In an effort to make life more comfortable for American servicemen and women, the Rockford Transportation Security Administration and Northwest Chicagoland International Airport (RFD) are asking for your assistance. These items would make life more comfortable for those in the field. Requested items are: eye drops, AA batteries, handkerchiefs, phone cards, Ziplock baggies (quart & gallon size), tubes of lip balm (liquid), stationery kits, gum or mints in tins, disposable razors. Travel size items would include: shaving cream, medicated powder, baby wipes, sun screen and deodorant.

Please stay within the above-listed items, as these fit within packaging guidelines. Please leave your name and city so that we can let our soldiers know who is supporting them.

To donate any of the items for our care packages for the troops, please drop them off at the Northwest Chicagoland International Airport at Rockford (RFD) during the month of March. Just bring in an item from the list above and hand it to the ticket agent at check-in. Your contribution will be delivered to the military through the local Transportation Security Administration office.
