‘E-I-E-I-O!’: Discovery Center offers barnyard petting zoo May 20

With a quack quack here and a baah baah there, Discovery Center’s outdoor science park will be transformed into Old McDonald’s Farm between 1 and 4 p.m., Sunday, May 20, when the Museum presents the fun-filled family event “E-I-E-I-O!”.

Visitors can explore the sights, sounds, taste and feel of barnyard life. All activities featured with the event will be included with admission to Discovery Center, which is inside Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N. Main St., Rockford.

During “E-I-E-I-O!” children will be able to meet some of their favorite live barnyard babies. Buggy Whip Farm will bring baby goats, lambs, chicks, ducklings, goslings, bunnies and more. There’ll even be baby turkeys and a pot-bellied pig! Children will also enjoy munching on an animal snack and creating a critter craft to take home.

For more information, call Discovery Center at (815) 963-6769 or visit the Museum’s Web site at discoverycentermuseum.org.
