Ember Swift at Mendelssohn Feb. 10

Charlotte’s Web offers a three-in-one show this weekend. Ember Swift is the headliner, accompanied by Lyndell Montgomery and Adam Bowman. See them at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center, 415 N. Church St.

Ember Swift is a young Canadian-born singer/songwriter who has been writing songs since she was 9 years old and performing since she was 10. She has just released her ninth album, The Dirty Pulse, through her own independent label, Few’ll Ignite Sound. Still featuring the familiar stylistic diversity of Ember Swift’s music, this album has a melodic and rhythmic pulse found in the layers of Ember’s dirty electric guitars coupled with the featured horn lines, keyboard licks and gentle distinctions found in the sparse acoustic finger-style songs with Flamenco overtones.

The incredible Canadian, Lyndell Montgomery, is part of every Ember Swift tour and is obviously an integral contributor to the music. Lyndell has been playing guitar for 24-plus years and plays an electronic Vector violin as well as electric bass and bowed guitar. Rounding out this musical experience is percussionist extraordinaire, Adam Bowman.
