The FDA approved the marketing of Aerus LLCs Lux Guardian Air Purification System as a Class II Medical Device. It is the first residential system to achieve this status. That means insurance companies, Medicare, and the Veterans Administration may reimburse people with allergies, asthma, and chronic respiratory conditions for the device. Nevertheless, as a Class II medical device, it is tax deductible. Also, Class II Medical Devices can be purchased under a Cafeteria Plan with a doctors prescription.
Did you know that indoor air can be five times more polluted than outdoor air? Research indicates that many people experience a reaction to airborne toxins in the home. Some conditions in your home provide a breeding ground for pollution. Indoor pollution is a mix of mold, mildew, pet dander, dust mites, pollen, smoke, soot, volatile organic compounds, and bacteria. As airborne particles, these pollutants can aggravate health conditions and help pass infectious diseases when inhaled.
Jimmy Marx, president of Aerus Electroluxs local dealership, says: Not only does the Guardian Air help alleviate breathing problems due to allergies, it helps prevent the onset of allergic symptoms. You can postponeor delay indefinitelythe development of an allergy if you avoid contact with potential allergens. So everybody can benefit from removing pollutants and allergens from the air.
Also, allergies and asthma often go hand-in-hand. Once an allergy becomes severe enough, the reaction will include asthma. And people who develop allergies to indoor-based allergens are exposed to irritants year-round. Frank Schoen, branch manager of Aerus Electroluxs local dealership, states, Unlike a central-heating-based solution, an air purification system runs all of the time to remove pollutants from the air.
Thus far, the Aerus Lux Guardian Air Purification System is the only unit of its kind to receive the FDA designation as a Class II Medical Device.
