Fibromyalgia seminar offered by Arthritis Foundation

“Taking Control—Fibromyalgia—Managing from a Team Approach” will be offered Tuesday evening, Oct. 9, for men and women seeking information and resources about fibromyalgia and other arthritis conditions. The seminar will open at 4:30 p.m. with a large exhibit area featuring services and products benefiting individuals with arthritis.

“A Journey Through the Myths and Mysteries of Fibromyalgia” will be presented by Dr. Todd Cevene, Cevene Total Care Clinic, at 6 p.m., followed by “The Role of Medications in the Treatment of Fibromyalgia” by Dr. Tom Carey, director of Pharmacy Practice, SwedishAmerican Hospital. A light snack will be served.

Who should attend? The seminar is designed for men and women living with fibromyalgia, those seeking information and resources pertaining to the disease, students in the health field, educators and exercise enthusiasts providing community-based programs and services, friends and family of those living with fibromyalgia, and anyone who is interested in health-related causes.
