First Fridays at the Oregon Coliseum

First Fridays at the Oregon Coliseum

OREGON—“First Fridays at the Coliseum” is an open stage music show. The June show will be at 7 p.m., Friday, June 6 in the Oregon Coliseum one block north of Route 64 on Route 2 in downtown Oregon, Ill.

Talented local musicians along with performers from as far away as the Western Suburbs and the Quad Cities are expected to appear. Each performer will have a 15-minute time slot at center stage, then all of them will wrap up the evening with a jam session.

Everyone is invited to attend. You can bring your instrument and join in the fun—or just kick back and enjoy the music. Instruments are all acoustic (no amplifiers), and the music is as varied as the performers—country, blues, bluegrass, folk, gospel, jazz, soft rock. You can hear it all at First Fridays!

Admission is by free will donation, and refreshments are available. First Fridays benefits three charitable causes: Project Oregon, The Depot Restoration, and Farming Heritage.
